Just a Farmer screening

Hosted by the Macedon Ranges Suicide Prevention Action Group (MRSPAG) in partnership with Macedon Ranges Shire Council, this free community event aims to create a safe and supportive space for connection, reflection, and meaningful conversations around mental health.

Just a Farmer tells a deeply moving story of resilience, loss, and hope, highlighting the unique pressures faced by individuals, families, and communities in rural Australia. Through powerful storytelling, the film encourages understanding, reduces stigma, and reminds us of the importance of checking in on one another.

This free community event is open to everyone.

Please note: the film is rated M and contains mature themes, suicide themes, and coarse language.

Join us for an evening of connection, conversation, and community, featuring live music, food, and special guest speaker Aaron Schultz from The Outback Mind Foundation, before the film screening commences at 6:45pm.

Tea and coffee will be served following the film, and attendees are welcome to stay and connect with our trained peer supporters before heading home.
