Revenge is a dish best served sweet.
The Snips return with Just Desserts, a new fiber arts exhibition exploring confection, consequence, and the delicious tension between indulgence and accountability.
Through textile and fiber art, our artists examine both meanings of the phrase: “just desserts” and “just deserts.” Are you drawn to saccharine delight—the color, texture, and nostalgia of sweet treats? Or do you believe that everyone ultimately receives the reward or punishment they deserve? In this exhibition, we mean both.
Just Desserts unpacks our relationships to confectionary form, decadent indulgence, and the moral weight we attach to sweetness. From playful and ornate to biting and provocative, the works on view examine justice, regret, retribution, pleasure, and excess—all stitched, woven, knotted, and constructed through fiber.
Join us for opening weekend celebrations, interactive pop-ups, an artist mixer, and special themed gallery hours as we explore what it means to savor sweetness—and reckon with consequence.
