• Is there a host?

  No. Just Lunch is self-led. Your table is arranged before you arrive, so you simply take your seat, order what you like and let the conversation take it from there.

• Do I pay for my own food and drinks?

  Yes. Your booking reserves your place at the table. Food and drinks are ordered and paid for separately, so you can choose whatever suits you.

• Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

  Bookings are non-refundable, so please make sure the date and time suit you before reserving your seat. If Just Lunch is unable to proceed, you’ll be contacted directly about the next steps.

• Will I have to approach people?

  Not in the way you would at a larger singles event. Your seat is already part of the table, so you’re not walking around deciding who to approach. You arrive, sit down and meet the people you’re there to have lunch with.

• Wouldn’t a bigger event give me more chances to meet someone?

  It gives you more people to meet. Just Lunch gives you more time with the people you do meet. If you prefer fewer introductions and longer conversations, the smaller table may suit you better.

• What if I'm not great at working a room?

  That’s exactly why Just Lunch keeps the group small. You don’t need to circulate or keep finding the next person to speak to. You can stay in the conversation and get to know the people already at your table.

• What if I'm coming on my own?

  That’s completely normal. Everyone has reserved their own place, so you’re not walking into someone else’s friendship group. You’re simply one of the people meeting at the table.

• What if I don't click with anyone straight away?

  That’s okay. Just Lunch isn’t about forcing a result. Sometimes the value is simply meeting a few new people, having a proper conversation and seeing who you naturally enjoy talking to.

• What if I'm just starting to put myself out there again?

  Just Lunch can be a comfortable first step back into meeting new people. You’re not walking into a room full of strangers or trying to meet everyone at once. It’s one table, a smaller group and enough time to settle in and let the conversation come naturally.

• What if I'm quieter or take a little while to warm up?

  You don’t need to be the loudest person at the table. With fewer people, there’s more room for everyone to contribute without having to fight for attention.

• Do I need to go in expecting something romantic to happen?

  No. The only expectation is that you’re open to meeting new people. Lunch gives you the time and setting to see what develops naturally, without trying to manufacture anything.

• What if I'm just getting back out there after a relationship?

  Just Lunch can be a comfortable way to start meeting new people again. There’s no need to rush or put pressure on the outcome. You can enjoy the meal, have a few conversations and ease back into meeting people at your own pace.
