I'm Just Older, Darling.

I'm Just Older, Darling is an afternoon gathering for older rainbow people and their friends to celebrate the joy of ageing through food, conversation and storytelling.

For too long, many rainbow elders have had to choose which part of themselves to bring into a room, their culture or their identity, but rarely both. This gathering creates a space where no one has to make that choice. Through shared food, conversation and storytelling, elders can bring their whole selves to the table, connect with others, and tell their stories in their own words.

Created through cross-community partnership, the event brings together people who share the experiences of ageing, rainbow identity and cultural diversity. It is about more than inclusion, it is about belonging, not a spare seat at someone else’s table, but a table built with our community from the start.
