    Event description

    KAI CENTRAL LAUNCH
let's redesign the food system together

Kai Central is a digital platform focused on redesigning the food system in Aotearoa. We believe that the food system isn't broken; it's working exactly as it was designed to, and therein lies the opportunity for us all to redesign our food ecosystem together.

Kai Central is an online digital space for sectors, stakeholders, and communities to engage, connect, learn and grow together around the journey and kaupapa of redesigning the food systems of today and the future. Ensuring a kai ecosystem where both people and the planet thrive.

Over the last 24 months, we have engaged with hundreds of stakeholders across the food system who have helped us design and shape the platform. On November 30th 2022, we are excited to launch the platform and take it live; we invite you to join us for the launch at our in-person event in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland or virtually online.

Kai Central is an initiative from the Aotearoa Kai Journey, a food system-focused project that has taken a community-grounded and social impact design approach to redesign the food system, AKJ is led by social enterprises Rākau Tautoko and The Good Fale

Let's redesign the food system together...

An online digital platform dedicated to redesigning the food system will enable:

    • A place to share and spotlight initiatives and projects leading the way to tackle food systems challenges and those at the forefront of innovation and opportunity.
    • A place to learn and share resources.
    • A place to grow collaboration and collective action.

We look forward to connecting with stakeholders from across the food ecosystem.
