What to expect
KalliopeX invites you to celebrate four years of this online literary magazine and to help raise funds to pay contributors in forthcoming issues. Featuring poets include π.ο. / Lucy Van / Angela Costi / Georgia Kartas / Thabani Tshuma / George Mouratidis / Es Foong / Emilie Collyer / Myron Lysenko / Tariro Mavondo. With musicians Nick Tsiavos and Irine Vela, DJing by Moi, and Vasilka Pateras as MC.
Contributors come from a wide cross section of the Australian and international literary scene and include emerging writers, the diasporic communities of Australia, writers of languages other than English and the LGBTQI+ communities who show what Australia looks, sounds, reads like and so nurture conversation with writers around the world.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land on which the fundraiser will take place, the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation. It is a privilege to live and work on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander land. We acknowledge that this land is stolen land. This land was never ceded and sovereignty and treaties are yet to be negotiated.
KalliopeX magazine is published by the KalliopeX collective https://www.kalliopex.com/
