I have held space and shown many women how to make their own drum without them having prior experience in drumming, weaving, or crafting.

I AM HERE TO GUIDE YOU STEP BY STEP THROUGH THE PROCESS OF BIRTHING YOUR OWN UNIQUE MEDICINE DRUM.

YOU'LL GET:

16 inch Willow Tree Hoop

Full uncut kangaroo hide

Synthetic sinew of varying colours

All tools to complete the process; scissors, punches, glue, etc

Decorative items: natural feathers, crystals, ornaments, etc.

OPTIONAL:

Locally custom-made mallet (Paul from Gongwalkabout)

Local bespoke cotton drum bags (made by my mamma bear, Susan from Susie's Home Crafts)

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

An old towel

Any feathers, crystals, shells, or anything else that has meaning to you that you'd like to thread or stick onto your drum (ideally, it will have a hole for threading or be small enough to be glued on)

I've spent the last twelve months repeating and perfecting the process of creating unique Kangaroo Medicine Drums.

10- 10.30 intro and drum basics
10.30- 11.30 decorate your hoop
11.30- 1.00 cut, thread and weave your skin
1.00-2.30 tighten and decorate the sinew
2.30-3.00 finishing touches, closing

WHAT MAKES ME QUALIFIED TO TEACH THIS WORKSHOP?

Not only have I made many medicine drums and taught others how to make their own, but I am also a qualified Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, Sound Facilitator, and Meditation Teacher.

I have facilitated workshops, classes, day retreats, weekend retreats, and online sessions.

Using these modalities in these different formats, I have spent the last 3.5 years bringing people back into their bodies, easing their minds, and settling their nervous systems.

I currently spend my days finding new ways to empower women to discover their true selves so they can live authentic lives, and I am undertaking a Public Speaking course to do it with even more impact.
