Description

Future Innovators in the Maker Space

3D Printing and Vibe Coding for ages 10+

3:30pm – 4:30pm, | 18 May in Paraparaumu Library Maker Space

For young people, technology isn’t just something to learn – it’s something to create with.

This hands-on session introduces rangatahi aged 10+ to the tools shaping the future, in a way that is practical, creative and accessible.

Participants will explore how ideas can become real through 3D printing and AI-assisted “vibe coding”, using the tools available in the Maker Space.

Participants will:

  • Learn how 3D printers build objects layer by layer

  • See real examples created in the Maker Space

  • Use AI tools to help bring their ideas to life

This is a welcoming session for curious young people - whether they enjoy building, designing, coding, or just want to see what’s possible.

Please bring: a Chromebook or iPad. If needed, we can help organise access.

Parents and caregivers are required to give permission and are welcome to stay. Bookings are essential.

Proudly supported by Kāpiti Coast District Council, the Economic Development Kotahitanga Board, and NewstalkZB.
