Karu Distillery Masterclass

The Royal Richmond in conjunction with Karu Distillery are delighted to present a Masterclass to celebrate Karu's 5th Birthday!

Launched in 2018 by husband and wife team Nick and Ally, the focus has always been to create quality spirits that highlight the science and art of the distillation process.

Based in Grose Vale, Karu's range has grown to include Affinity a contemporary Australian gin, Lightning a Navy strength Gin, Morita a Chipotle flavoured Vodka and Outcask Rum, all of which are proudly served at The Royal and feature in a number of our house cocktails. 

Karu is one of Australia's most awarded distilleries, in 2021 Lightning Gin took out the Trophy for best contemporary Gin at the International Wines & Spirits Competition.

Join Ally, Nick and The Royal team to celebrate their milestone by kicking up your heels with a 'Bee's Knees' to start proceedings, followed by tastings from the Karu range of spirits including an exclusive tasting of their Spring release.

To accompany these liquid libations, Jo Ward and The Royal kitchen team will be pooling their resources to create a selection of snacks using the best produce the Hawkesbury has to offer.
