Katanning EcoWeek Carnaby's Black Cockatoo Citizen Science Workshop
Event description
EcoWeek is back for 2025! A series of workshops with a vibrant environment-focused community program, aiming to connect and upskill people in areas such as water management, disaster and extreme weather preparedness, mental health, traditional Aboriginal knowledge, off-gridding and sustainable living.
Do you sometimes see Carnaby's black cockatoos in and around Katanning? Learn how you can contribute to the science that informs future conservation efforts for the Carnaby’s black cockatoo by reporting your sightings. Tegan Douglas from BirdLife WA will also take you on a walk to practice making reports in real life!
This event is brought to you by Katanning Landcare, FRRR, through funding from the Australian Government's Future Drought Fund.
