Kauri Wood Art, The ReCreators Green Space, Tues 16 Dec 10am - 12.30pm
Event description
Create Your Own Kauri Platter!
Create a beautiful kauri platter while learning basic woodworking and safe tool use.
Using reclaimed native wood, you’ll shape, sand, and finish your platter to make it food-safe and long-lasting. Add your own touch with a soldering iron to etch unique patterns or designs.
Perfect for beginners or anyone interested in sustainable, functional art - and you’ll take home a handcrafted piece made by you. This would make an amazing Christmas present!
The day starts with a health and safety briefing before tool use.

Some activities may be outdoors, so dress for the weather.
