Learn basic woodworking and safe tool use while making a beautiful kauri platter from reclaimed native wood. This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone interested in sustainable, functional art.
You’ll shape, sand, treat, and finish your platter to keep it food-safe and durable. Take home a unique, handcrafted piece made by you.
Please note:
The day starts with a health and safety briefing before tool use.
Tools covered include jigsaw, power drill, and sander. Please wear covered shoes and fitted clothing.
Some activities may be outdoors, so dress for the weather.
Children cannot attend due to safety rules.
Arrive on time for the safety briefing to join the workshop.
