Kayak or Canoe Flatwater Training – Safe Participant (FW01SP2024)

Safe Participant Kayak / Canoe Training – Venturers, Rovers and Adult Leaders

Safe Participant Flatwater Kayak / Canoe training run by the paddling team will be held over the following weekends:

• Part 1 – 10th – 11th of February at the Adventurous Activities Centre, Glenelg
• Part 2 –25th of February, Garden Island
• Cost: $60
• Closing date: 3rd February 2024.

Participants required to attend both part 1 and 2 of the training course.

A course letter which includes prerequisites information will be emailed out after the closing date.

This includes some e-learning, refer to Paddling Training FAQ.

NOTE: To lead members kayaking or canoeing you will also need to complete ‘Trained Participant - Kayak / Canoe Training’.

Next Trained Participant course:

• 2nd – 3rd March, Location TBA.  This course is an overnight paddling trip normally held in the Riverland.
