KBUT's Yurt Bingo - A Full Moon Adventure!

KBUT’s Yurt Bingo returns to the Nordic Center’s Magic Meadows Yurt on Thursday, March 13, and Friday, March 14th, 2025. Get ready for an unforgettable night of bingo, dining, and dancing under the full moon! This is NOT your grandma’s bingo—expect high-energy games, great prizes, and a lively atmosphere.

Event Details

• Ticket Cost: $90 per person, includes dinner and a reserved bingo seat
• Bingo Cards: $20 for a pack of 10, $5 for special sheets (cash or check required)
• Drinks will be available for additional purchase at the bar (cash or check required)
• Schedule:
  • 6:00 PM – Dinner served
  • 7:00 PM – Ten rounds of bingo, drinks, and dance party fun!
• Prizes: Cash, gift certificates, and more

About the Magic Meadows Yurt

The Magic Meadows Yurt is a cozy, backcountry venue located on Crested Butte Land Trust property in the Slate River Valley. Heated by a wood stove and lit by solar-powered lights, it provides an intimate setting for this special event.

• Seating capacity: 45 people
• Basic kitchen and porto-potty facilities available
• Expect temperature swings—dress in layers

Getting There

The Yurt is accessible only by skis or snowshoes via a one-mile groomed trail from the Peanut Lake Trailhead.

• The trail is mostly level with some rolling hills
• Estimated travel time:
  • Beginner skiers: 30-45 minutes
  • Experienced skiers: 15-20 minutes
• Bring a headlamp and appropriate gear for the nighttime return trip

• This event takes place in a small, enclosed yurt where social distancing is not possible.
• As food and drinks are served, mask-wearing may be limited.
• If you’re feeling unwell, please stay home—we will refund your ticket (minus credit card fees) in the case of illness.
