About NoHo Arts District

The NoHo Arts District is a vibrant cultural hub in the San Fernando Valley, known for its dense mix of theaters, rehearsal spaces, art galleries, creative studios, as well as marquee LA landmarks like the Television Academy. Once an industrial pocket, it has transformed into a walkable, art-filled neighborhood with bold street murals, indie cafés, and a tight-knit community of working artists and performers. Its proximity to major film and TV studios fuels a creative, always-on energy that attracts both rising talent and established voices. On Saturday, September 5, 2026, it will host the final stop of KCRW Summer Nights, featuring live music, DJs, a lively beer garden, and presented in partnership with Los Angeles City Councilmember Adrin Nazarian.

Lineup

  • Madison McFerrin

Maybe life on Earth, with all its miniature, momentary deaths and rebirths, really does have something to do with our zodiac signs. Singer-songwriter Madison McFerrin thinks so. Her sophomore album, SCORPIO, takes its name from her sign and its three phases (scorpion, eagle, and phoenix) which parallel her personal evolution since her 2023 debut, I Hope You can Forgive Me. The confident woman you hear on SCORPIO was born from the ashes of heartbreak. For Madison, love — specifically self-love — is a revealer of truths. It’s this album’s inspiration: “I truly believe that I went through it because I've created art that's going to change my life.” SCORPIO is what it sounds like when the stars align.

  • KCRW DJ Peanut Butter Wolf

Peanut Butter Wolf digs through his crates of over 50,000 records he’s collected since the age of nine, as well as digital crates of tons of unreleased music, to favor the underdog. His DJ influences include John Peel, Anita Sarko, Chris Hill, David Mancuso, Electrifying Mojo, Kool DJ Red Alert, Marley Marl, Rodney Bingenheimer, Ron Hardy, Giles Peterson, Nicky Siano, Don Letts, and Dr. Demento.

  • KCRW DJ LUXXURY

LUXXURY erases the lines between rock and dance grooves of the past and present, playing genre classics alongside dubbed-out edits, vintage synthpop gems, and post-punk bangers all expertly reimagined with a modern twist. Blending seamless DJ sets with a crate-digger’s ear and a remixer’s touch LUXXURY delivers an immersive soundscape where hidden classics meet fresh remixes and musical history gets reassembled in real time.
