About The Wende Museum
The Wende is an art museum, cultural center, and archive that preserves history and brings it to life through exhibitions, scholarship, education, and community engagement. Wende is a German word meaning “turning point” or “change” that has come to describe the transformative period around the fall of the Berlin Wall. Founded in 2002, the Wende Museum holds an unparalleled collection of art and artifacts from the Cold War era, which serves as a foundation for programs that illuminate the political and cultural changes of the past, offer opportunities to make sense of a changing present, and inspire active participation in the personal and social changes that will shape the future.
About Enrique Martínez Celaya: The Sextant
The Wende is thrilled to present Enrique Martínez Celaya: The Sextant, a large-scale installation that brings together architecture, sculpture, and painting, drawing on the artist’s early years in Cuba. Moving between the personal and the collective, the work traces questions of identity, exile, and belonging, and the uneasy line between memory and imagination, past and present. Also on view: Anton Roland Laub: Mobile Churches, a photographic and archival study of seven churches relocated out of central Bucharest under Nicolae Ceaușescu’s regime.

KCRW DJ Anne Litt
Anne Litt leads KCRW’s weekend music programming — Saturdays, noon to 3pm. Prior to her current stint as a weekend anchor, Anne hosted KCRW’s flagship weekday music show Morning Becomes Eclectic and served as KCRW’s Music Director. She has also been a music supervisor for television and film. Keep up with her keen observations about new music, LA life, and (occasionally) sports with her weekly dispatches which lead KCRW’s Music Insider newsletter. Over a radio career spanning decades, Anne has worked in commercial and public spaces alike — always with eyes and ears focused on emerging talent. She’s conducted interviews with all manner of musicians from Beck, Patti Smith, and Tom Jones, to rising artists like Arlo Parks and Soccer Mommy. She’s constantly seeking innovative ways to introduce audiences to their new favorites. Her work in this capacity includes: launching and continuing to evolve KCRW’s globe-trotting music discovery program, Global Beat (hosted by Raul Campos), and a revitalized approach to presenting live radio sessions — KCRW: Live From.
KCRW DJ Nassir Nassirzadeh
Nassir Nassirzadeh has always felt connected to the plight and flight of the underdog, whether it’s Rocky Balboa, the 1992-1993 Lakers, or musicians who are under the radar but deserve access to the wide audience that needs them. I lose some sales and my boss won't be happy But I can't stop listening to the sound Of two soft voices blended in perfection From the reels of this record that I found Nassir looks forward to bringing you into your body and into the moment with music that is both old and new, known and unknown. - How do I get to the venue?
Parking recommendations: Free parking is available in the city parking lots adjacent to Wende, accessible via Coombs Ave. If the lots fill up, there’s plenty of street parking in the surrounding neighborhood.
Rideshare is encouraged.
