Kedmah Brooklyn Piyyut Circle - May 5
Event description
Kedmah Brooklyn Piyyut Circle
🎶 Communal singing. Ancient poetry reborn. 🎶
Join us for our third monthly Brooklyn Piyyut Circle—a musical gathering where we immerse in the piyyutim of Sephardic & Mizrahi traditions. Led by Rabbi Yosef Yeish Goldman, with Josh Kaye.
These sacred poems and melodies are a powerful gateway into Jewish spiritual experience—sometimes unfamiliar, yet deeply resonant, like discovering new rooms in the mikdash of our collective heart.
No prior knowledge is needed—just a love for music and an open heart. Whether you come to reconnect or to learn anew, or to reconnect, this singing space is for you.
📅 Monday, May 5th, 7:30– 8:45 PM
📍 Luria Academy Upper School -664 Bergen St.
🎟️ $18

What is Piyyut?
Piyyut is the living heartbeat of Jewish tradition—where poetry meets melody, and prayer becomes song. It carries the voices of generations, weaving together longing and joy, the sacred and the everyday, to create a timeless bridge between past and present, earth and the Divine.
