Preparing Others & Test. Improve.

Wednesday 25 November 2026 | 9:00am–10:00am AEST | Online

A Business Continuity Plan is only useful if the people involved understand what to do when disruption happens.

The final webinar in the series focuses on preparing staff, volunteers, clients and partners, strengthening communication, and making sure continuity arrangements actually work in practice.

We’ll explore:

Preparing staff and volunteers before disruption
Communicating clearly with clients, community and partners
Identifying triggers and decision-making responsibilities
Creating practical messages that can be used during disruption
Simple ways to test your continuity arrangements
Learning from exercises and real events
Keeping Business Continuity Planning active and up to date

Facilitated by Stephen Woods from Employee Wellness Australia, with Ready Together.

You’ll leave with practical tools and a clear next-step plan to continue strengthening resilience within your organisation.

This session is part of the Keeping Services Open: Preparedness for Community Organisations webinar series, based on the ACOSS Six Steps to Disaster Resilience.

This activity supports community organisations to strengthen preparedness, continuity and long-term resilience following the South Queensland Severe Storms and Rainfall, 24 December 2023–3 January 2024.

Please share with community organisations, neighbourhood centres, charities, small NFPs and service providers that could benefit.

Ready Together acknowledges the Kombumerri families of the wider Yugambeh Language Region, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we work and gather. We pay our respects to Elders past and present and acknowledge the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to land, waters and community.
