James discovered a passion for music working on his families vineyard in Orange,NSW. "Dad would have vinyls and CD's which we would play all day long." However before a career in music he followed in his fathers footsteps -Peter Mortimer; a professional Rugby League player and donned the Jersey for Manly.

It was back in his hometown that James holed up with producer, Craig Honeysett to craft his Debut Album 'Life is Good Today' . Pounding drums,blistering Guitars and anthemic choruses became the keystones that support James's autobiographical tales of positivity and persistance.
