Botanical Printmaking with the Recreators
Description
BOTANCIAL PRINTMAKING at KELMARNA
with The Recreators on Mothers Day
Join us at the Farm this mothers day weekend to craft a botanically inspired print. Stencil and block printing are some of the earliest print making techniques, creating striking images from simple materials and easy to learn tools. Using inspiration from Kelmarna's gardens, you will leave this workshop with a unique, handcrafted gift for yourself or someone you love.
What to expect:
In this workshop with upcycling experts the ReCreators, learn everything you need to know to get started with this ancient and inspring craft! This workshop will cover the materials and tools that you need, and guide you through the process of carving and printing using reclaimed material. You will go home with your own botanically inspired print, and the skills to make more. Participants will be provided all materials required and given a resource sheet to take home.
The ReCreators are on a mission to show the world how to reduce and reuse our natural resources. It's easy, fun, creative, and sustainable.
Tickets include:
theoretical and practical introduction to stencil and block printing
access to learning material and additional resources
fresh herbal tea provided
This workshop is practical and potentially messy! We recommend coming along with an apron, old clothes and gloves if you have them.
We look forward to seeing you on the farm soon!
