To celebrate, we're running our first ever performance course. Whether you've danced with us for a while or never performed before, this is your chance to learn a full routine, grow your confidence and have your baddie moment on stage.

Everyone is welcome!
Kembot is a space for everyone to experience the joy of dance without judgement or pressure. You don't need to be an advanced "dancer" or even consider yourself a performer to participate.
You'll spend five weeks learning your routine before bringing it all together for the performance night. By week 5, you'll know it inside and out — we build up slowly so performance night feels exciting, not scary.

Level: Absolute Beginner/Beginner
Time: 7:15–8:30pm

- Where and when is the performance?
At Kembot's Double Denim Disco night — Saturday 21 November 2026, at a venue in Melbourne CBD.
- Do I need dance experience?
No previous performance or dance experience is required — everyone is welcome!
- I've never performed before and I'm a bit nervous — is this still for me?
We know that feeling...it's scary to think about having to dance in front of people but we see this performance course as an opportunity to show your friends, family and your fellow Kembot baddies what you've been working on, in a space that's all about support and encouragement, not judgement.
- Help! I don't know what level to choose!
The dance routines will be at similar level as our regular classes.
The Absolute Beginner/Beginner course will be the same pace and level as our First Taste (Beg) class.
The Beginner/Open course will be the same pace and level as our Spicy (Open) class.
In saying this, each routine is open to any levels so if you really love a song - just go for it!
- I like both songs and want to do both. Can I do that?
Glad to hear we nailed it with the song choices!
Yes, you can do both. All levels are welcome in either courses.
- Are costumes included?
Costumes are not included in the course price. However, the outfits will be on the theme of the night, which is Double Denim.
We'll aim to keep costume requirements accessible and within the pieces you may already have.
- What happens if I miss a class?
Don't stress — we'll try our best to accommodate this in the routine. You'll also be given videos of the dance each week for practise at home.
However, the course fee can't be split, adjusted or discounted for missed sessions, as spots are limited and can't be held or replaced once registration is complete.
- What's your refund policy?
This course is sold as a complete 5-week package. All sales are final — registrations are non-refundable and no refunds or credits are issued for missed classes or a change of mind after purchase.
There is very limited capacity available for each class and this keeps it fair those people who may have missed out on a spot.
