Goetz Richter (violin) and Paul Cheung (Piano) perform Sonatas by Hans Pfitzner and Richard Strauss. These musical antagonists of the early twentieth Century were nevertheless joined by a common focus on Nietzschean ideas. The concert also features Eine Sylvesternacht, a short work for violin and piano by Friedrich Nietzsche and Die Schoenste Nacht, an evocative work for solo piano by Erich Wolfgang Korngold.
