We welcome home to Kendall the amazing violinist Victoria Wong (Finalist 2011 and Bach Prize Winner) and internationally acclaimed young concert artist Marcel Mok.
Together these exciting young concert artists perform a program of romantic masterpieces by Schubert, Clara Schumann, Franck and Tchaikovsky.
Praised in Germany for her „technically flawless playing“ and her „refined playful sensuousness“ Victoria Wong is currently one of the finest musicians of her generation. She has been a winner and prize-winner of numerous international competitions and has performed as soloist in important European Concert halls. She has been guest concertmaster with orchestras such as the Berliner Symphoniker, Deutsche Oper Berlin and the Sinfonisches Kammerorchester Berlin and performs regularly with the Berlin Philharmonic. Since 2023, Victoria is assistant teacher to Nora Chastain at the University of the Arts Berlin. Her piano partner Marcel Mok has established himself as one of the most promising young pianists in Germany. His multi-cultural heritage has brought him to study under Klaus Hellwig in Berlin with highest honours and with Roberto Plano, Bruno Canino and Hortense Cartier-Bresson in Milan and Paris. Marcel is also the winner of numerous competitions and has performed with important orchestras as soloist and at renowned festivals.
The performance on March 3 at 2 pm at the Kendall School of Arts will be preceded by a pre-concert talk at 1 pm when Goetz Richter, founder and artistic director of the Kendall National Violin Competition who will speak about “Music and Nostalgia”.
