Storytime with Kenneth Kraegel

Join us for a special storytime guest appearance! Kenneth Kraegel will be visiting our Okemos storytime on June 27th to read his newest book, Firefly Lullaby.

We love seeing who is planning to join us! Your RSVP helps us prepare to host you.

About the Book:

From the inimitable author-illustrator Kenneth Kraegel comes another sweetly soothing bedtime book in the vein of Mushroom Lullaby and Mermaid Lullaby.

As the sun sets on a warm summer evening, a very small sound calls to those with a certain kind of ear. It is not the sighing song of wrens and robins, nor is it the gentle hum of crickets. It’s the magical sound of fireflies—dancing to the music of tiny trumpets, feasting upon an elaborate banquet, and singing songs to settle their wings before huddling close for a soothing night’s sleep. This charming and cozy story, with its luminous imagery and lyrical text, will lull little ones into comforting dreams of fireflies flickering in the night.
