Event description

Kerfew is teaming up with local legends of the Naarm bass scene, Blend Corp to present a pioneer of the bass scene in India - the solo project of KRUNK LIVE founder, Sohail Arora ——- EZ RISER.

Debuting his career in October 2012, EZ Riser draws inspiration from Jungle, Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Garage, Techno, Acid, Breaks, Footwork, and Global Bass, to engineer his unique sound seamlessly blending genres in every set. Over the past decade, EZ Riser has shared stages with some of the world's finest bass music pioneers, including Coki, Om Unit, D Bridge, Loefah and many more.

EZ Riser’s debut EP ‘The Slacktivist’ (2022) marked the arrival of this music veteran in the Jungle and Drum & Bass scene with themes reflecting on online individuals' lackluster support for social or political causes. The rough and rowdy sounds of the EP arise from the artist's reflections on the movement and its place in our culture.

Based out of Mumbai, India, Sohail Arora founded KRUNK in 2009. Over the past 15+ years KRUNK has hosted more than 4000+ events, which has put KRUNK at the forefront of live & electronic independent music in the country, hosting artists as far ranging as Squarepusher (UK), Ivy Lab (UK), Mantra (UK) to Fracture (UK). And while Ez Riser, real name Sohail, is a regular at said events, delivering a variety of bass sounds, make sure to catch him playing under his other alias, Rafiki, playing heavyweight techno and house.

With a new EP and singles on the horizon, his electrifying music is set to shake things up globally.
