Event description

On the 22nd of June we gather to celebrate the Winter Solstice, the shortest day and longest night, before we begin to head back towards the Light. Event will unfold at 12pm, arrival from 1130am.We will begin by opening the space in a ritualistic way, grounding down the energies of the Winter Solstice and welcoming all who have come to connect and dance. Tai and Simon will kick off the Somatic Dance, with Tia and Georgia finishing this up - acknowledging that Simon and Tai are moving out of the facilitators role at Kerikeri Somatic Dance and Georgia and Tia are moving into that space to continue to grow Kerikeri Somatic Dance. Lets celebrate Simon and Tai's beautiful work and the dances they have held at Waipapa Hall! Georgia and Tia are excited to continue!
Just as the changing seasons of our Earth show us, change is a constant and new growth may spring forth! We will finish with Fire, Warm Soup and Bread as we eat together to celebrate these Winter months. Closing by 3pm, you are welcome to stay for the Crop Swap afterwards in the community gardens and to enjoy the fire and one another's company. Wet Weather Venue: Waipapa Hall, same time and date.
Ticket price includes Soup and Bread. PLEASE BRING BOWL AND SPOON ALONG.
