One-day in-person workshop
This introduction to Key Word Sign workshop includes
- An interactive teaching environment
- Learning a basic vocabulary of signs to use in everyday settings
- How to choose which signs to teach
- Principles of Key Word Sign and Gesture
- How sign helps communication development.

- Anyone in the community.
Each participant in a Victorian Community Key Word Sign workshop receives in the mail a copy of the current edition of Getting started with Key Word Sign (Auslan Edition) as part of their registration.
- You will receive a Certificate of Attendance.
- Note: Victorian Teachers can use these hours towards their VIT PD hours.
When: Thursday 4th July 2024
Where: Springvale Park Special Developmental School
Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Melbourne time
Please arrive by 8:45 am for a 9:00am start
Getting there: Springvale Station is a short walk away.
Parking: There is plenty of onsite parking available
Lunch: Please bring your own lunch. We will have a 45 minute break for lunch. There are some cafes 5-10 minutes walk away but you may prefer to bring your lunch to save time. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided for morning and afternoon tea.
Cost: $350 per person
