Kī o Rahi Games at Play Festival 2023
Event description
Sign up for a free game of Kī o Rahi - a traditional Māori game which stems from the legend of Rahitutakahina and Tiarakurapakewai, a story which demonstrates that the sport is much more than a game: it is a tribute to Māori ancestors, language and culture.
Training provided - newbies welcome!
There will be two games of Kī o Rahi at the Play Festival on Saturday 8th of April - both running for 1 hour. Each game requires two teams of 9 people (total of 18 per game), and all participants need to be 10+ years old. So make sure to sign up friends and whānau as well!
