    Description:

    Kiama Municipal Council presents a free Drama Workshop run by Kiama School of Performing Arts, to celebrate International Day of People With a Disability (IDPwD). The event is designed for people with disability and suitable for ages 12 - 24. This inclusive space offers a chance to connect with others, build confidence, and express yourself through creative storytelling and performance. Enjoy a supportive environment where you can build confidence, make new friends, and have fun. No experience necessary—just bring your passion for creativity!
    Bookings Essential. Light refreshments will be available.

    Cost: Free (limit 2 if in same family)
    Age group: 12 – 24
    Requirements: Participants must be accompanied by their carer for the entire workshop
    Note: Limited capacity and priority will be allocated to those from the Kiama LGA.

    Registration: Please arrive 10 minutes early to check registration

    Facilitator notes:
    Shannon McAlary from Kiama School of Performing Arts has a Bachelor of Theatre and Performance from UWS. She has worked as a Speech and Drama teacher for 17 years and runs Drama and Public Speaking lessons at several local schools including the popular Kiama School Holiday Drama Camps. Shannon has developed and delivered Arts programs to remote Indigenous communities in the Northern Territory and has worked closely with Mission Australia and the Milk Crate Theatre developing plays with Sydney's Homeless community.
