Kidical Mass Adelaide - Demonstration Event 2025

🚲 Let's Ride! Join the Global Kidical Mass Movement! 🌍

Join thousands of children and their families worldwide in taking over their city streets to claim their right to ride safely.

"Kidical Mass is more than just a protest; it gives children a voice, creating a positive vision for the future, connecting the young and old across the cycling community". 

We invite you to our local event on Sunday, 14 September 2025 at 10 am, beginning and ending at Light Square/Wauwi, Adelaide.  

Our event is brought to you by a passionate organising team and campaign partners Middle Ground Motherhood, Bike Adelaide and Parents for Climate, with support from the Adelaide Bike Kitchen.

Now in its fourth year, Kidical Mass Adelaide is more than just a fun family ride. It’s a colourful, energetic call to action – showing what our cities could look like if kids were free to ride safely, independently, and joyfully.

🚨 What we're asking for:

We're calling on local decision-makers to: 

(1) Enable and activate bike riding joy

(2) Create comfortable, convenient and connected bike-riding routes and healthy streets 

(3) Support children's wellbeing and health through bike riding (and walking/wheeling) to school. 

Our top three priorities for action include:

🚴‍♀️ #30Please A safer speed on our streets is 30 km/h
🚴 #SafeStreetstoSchool Prioritise active transport around schools 
🚴 #EBikeSubsidies Make it cheaper to choose electric bikes.

🗺️ Our Ride

We start and end our ride in Light Square/Wauwi, Adelaide.

The exact route will be confirmed closer to the date and will include a mix of on- and off-road options, with both short and long ride options to suit different abilities. (Please note: balance bikes and walkers aren’t suitable for this ride.)

With volunteer marshals and an SA Police escort, you can relax and enjoy the ride knowing your family is supported every step – or pedal – of the way.

Tickets are FREE.

Please book a ticket to help us plan a safe and fun ride for everyone. We have created different categories of tickets to enable us to report on attendee numbers after the event.
