There is a small amount of pre-reading required in order to maximise the amount of time spent on the water. The booklet will be provided via email upon registration.

Mountain Biking: Location TBA

Participants are required to provide a mountain bike in good working order, with working brakes (no “back pedal” brakes) as well as a helmet.

Why Outdoor Recreation?

The benefits of outdoor recreation are widely acknowledged to provide both physical and mental health benefits including resilience, as well as increased personal confidence and a general sense of wellbeing.

Over time, participants can gain leadership skills, environmental awareness and First Aid skills, all while having fun and meeting peers with common interests.

The skills pathway is designed to produce Outdoor Leaders who are competent to lead teams in a range of outdoor contexts.

This program has been made possible through the generous support of the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries (DLGSC).
