Event description

Supporting the ongoing creative sewing needs of your kids and teens!

Our project based kids and teens classes are in a small encouraging environment, where Upcycle Newcastle Team Members will support and guide them through a variety of projects from our selection. Projects include:

  • zippered purses
  • juggling balls
  • boxer shorts
  • short sleeve top
  • bookmark
  • soft toys
  • bowl cosy

Students can choose between these projects – they should be able to complete a few items over the 3 days, depending on their choices.

This course is for those with some sewing experience; either they have completed our beginner (and maybe Level 2) classes or the equivalent, and would like to continue to explore the joys of sewing with new challenges!

    DETAILS:

    • Classes are held over 3 days, Tuesday 21st January, Wednesday 22nd January, Thursday 23rd January.
    • All materials, patterns and use of equipment are included in the cost of the course.
    • Students are most welcome to bring and continue learn on their own sewing machine, or use one of ours.

Please Note: Here at Upcycle Newcastle we use circular economy principles. This means we will be using recycled and reclaimed fabrics and haberdashery items for our sewing workshops. We are deeply passionate about diverting textile waste from landfill and we do this through upcycling.

Creative Kids Vouchers - Please do NOT book here if you wish to use a voucher. Upcycle Newcastle accepts $50 Creative Kids voucher for this course, with an additional $70 payable.
