In this hands-on workshop kids will make a clay seed-pod animal to take home, place in the garden and watch the flowers grow!

Local ceramicist, Fran Romano, will guide participants in making an animal shaped hollow form, a container for seeds to take home.

When it is dry, place the seed pod outside in your garden and watch as the weather goes to work on the clay. How long will it take for the clay to decompose and the seeds sprout?

Artist Bio:

Fran Romano is a Canberra-based ceramist. Since completing her studies at the ANU School of Art in mid-2013, she has developed both a production business and her art practice.

Fran has exhibited regularly in group shows in Canberra, nationally and internationally. Her work is inspired by memory, history and nostalgia investigated through layering and experimenting with surface texture and photographic imagery.
