We look forward to welcoming you to your Kid's Story Day event/s at Customs House on Friday 6 October.

Please read the below information to ensure you are set for the day.

Onsite

A team of Word Travels support staff will be available at the venue on the day to assist with any queries.

Upon arrival

Upon your arrival at Customs House, please meet our front-of-house staff, who will direct you to the Kid's Story Day venue.

Food and beverages

Please bring a water bottle (please make sure it has a label). If you are attending more than one session, bring a packed lunch, fruit, and healthy snacks. Additional water will be available. *Remember not to include foods containing peanuts because of other children’s possible allergies.

Bookshop

Books by Nazeem Hussain (Hy-larious Hyena!: Book 1 and Hy-larious Hyena!: Book 2: Get Lost) and Solli Raphael (Limelight and Spotlight) are available for purchase at the venue with cash or card for $20 each. A book pack featuring Hy-larious Hyena! Book 1 and Book 2 will be available for $35.

Book signing

Writers will be signing books after their sessions.

Photography

Word Travels employs the services of a professional photographer to record events throughout Story Week. These photos are for archival and marketing purposes. If you, or any child in your care, do not wish to be photographed, please inform a Word Travels representative on the day.

Working from Customs House Library

Parents/guardians are welcome to attend the day with their kid/s (parents/guardians are free). There is also the option to work in the Customs House Library (within the same building) and check in on your kid/s throughout the day.
