School Holiday: Kids Vegetable Gardens

Free school holiday activity for kids aged 5-12yo .  Kids will be learn all about vegetable gardening.  They'll learn about different parts of a plant, what things vegetables need to grow, why vegetables are important and how to look after them.  Children will learn how to make a recycled newspaper pot and take home a seedling to plant at home. The children will also participate in creating a vegetable garden bed together. They will help improve the soil, add mulch, plant some seedlings and water the garden in.   They'll also check out MCSL's vegetable farm and visit Lulu the Pig, Belle the Sheep and our chickens.
