KidsFest Multicultural Farm Day
Event description
As part of KidsFest Shellharbour 2023 “Planting Seeds of Diversity and Delight”, Green Connect Farm will be hosting a community day filled with with cultural music, the aromas of BBQ and the joy of children playing. We aim to bring multi-generational families from across our region for a family orientated celebration of diversity.
This free family event will include farm tours, BBQ, cultural music, cultural storytelling, flag making and art therapy, cuisine-themed seed planting, traditional outdoor games and nature-play.
We look forward to welcoming you to the farm.

Please choose a session time to attend our event! We have sessions from 10am - 2pm.
This is a FREE family event to attend however you do require a ticket! Please choose adult or child ticket so we know who is coming.
IMPORTANT INFO
- All people who attend the farm MUST wear enclosed shoes. We recommend wearing shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty and muddy in case it has been raining. Gumboots are recommended.
- Please bring a drink bottle to help you stay hydrated.
How to get to the farm hub
If travelling by car (or on foot) please park in Anna Avenue. The entrance to the farm is up a gravel driveway at 6 Anna Avenue. There is NO parking available on the farm. If you have pre-arranged our free bus, please enter through the back farm gate off Weringa Ave. There will be someone waiting to escort you from the gate to the farm hub.
Additional Information
- Green Connect farm is a working farm. Visitors must participate in a safety briefing before their farm tour.
- The terrain at the farm is steep and slippery in parts and many areas are not currently accessible for people with mobility difficulties, people in wheelchairs or prams. Please contact us if you have mobility challenges and we can make a plan for accessing flat parts of the site.
- Weather: This is an all weather event so please come prepared! We recommend gumboots and rain jackets in the rain and sunhats and sunscreen in sun.
- Allergen advice: Our farm is home to domestic animals as well as bees, wasps and macadamia trees. Please pack an Epipen if someone in your group has anaphylaxis and keep it with you at all times.
COVID-19 guidelines
We have put in place a range of measures to keep visitors to the farm safe.
- Please let us know if you are feeling unwell in the morning and choose to stay home.
- Please practice physical distancing at all times whilst on the farm – keep 1.5m apart.
- Please wash your hands regularly with either hand sanitizer or soap and water (at the cleaning stations).
- Please cough and sneeze into your elbow.
