THE STAKES

The prize is a hand-painted Ancient Red Dragon miniature - the very same one the DM will use in the encounter!

The PC who takes the boss down to 0HP claims the prize. On a Total Party Kill, the DM keeps the prize.

DM RULES

The boss' current HP will be on display and all rolls made by the DM will be made in front of the players.
The encounter boss will use the Ancient Red Dragon stat block as it appears in the 2014 Monster Manual, with HP adjusted proportionate to number of players.
The Dragon Spellcasting variant rules will be in play; PCs will not be informed of the boss' spell list.
To avoid too much predictability, custom lair actions will be in play.

PC RULES

D&D 5th edition, 2014 rules, WotC-official content only.
PCs will use Standard Array for base stats (15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8).
PCs will roll HP on the honor system.
PvP is permitted.
Additional information on Player Character creation (including PC level and gold) will be communicated via email by the DM approximately 2 weeks prior to the event.
