    Event description

Oh no, take cover, he's back!

The mutant Gorilla-beast they call Kim Cong returns for Kim Cong II - Rise of The Rumble Fish. As we learnt in the prequel, Kim Cong is a Frankensteinian monster, of the evil Scientist, Kim Salmon's, own making. From a sip of a poisoned chalice of Negativity, Surrealist spirits and bourbon of the Beast, Cong Josie became the grotesque monster of speed n roll - destroyer of inner and outer suburbs, breaker of hearts and a red hot Rev Head of rage. Now he's back, to let you know, he can really shake it down! This time he's on a motor-bike! This time he's covered in leather! This time he's ready to take Fitzroy and rave!

But not so fast, foolish ape! Kim Salmon, head of the antipodean chapter of the giant, mutant, Rumble Fish gang has other ideas to stop his out-of-control primate creation. Fitzroy has been Kim's swampland turf for decades and he's not giving it up on his watch. He's letting the wild Rumble Fish off the chain armed with switch-blades, axes, cricket bats and anything they can find for what should be the biggest, most violent, highest peak, or more accurately, Pinnacle event of the year!

That's right - will it be the lord of proto-grunge, oz-post punk, surrealist grind and swamp dirge, Kim Salmon, and his gang of gigantic, rebellious, greaser fish or the radioactive Cong Josie as-giant-Gorilla backed by his crazed Teardrops band, who survives?

Fuel to the flame will be the mesmerising Maxine Gillon, representing her own agenda of gutter intellectualism and visceral attitude akin to the weaponry and style of the Rumble Fish. Who will she side with or will she just blow the whole place up. The latter is most likely.

Kim Cong II - Rise of The Rumble Fish starring Kim Salmon, Cong Josie and The Teardrops and Maxine Gillon. November 18th at The Pinnacle, Fitzroy North.
