Event description

Senator Louise Pratt will lead a discussion with the community to help inform the development of Australia’s first LGBTIQA+ Health and Wellbeing 10 Year National Action Plan.

The National Action Plan is being guided by an Expert Advisory Group comprised of members of the LGBTIQA+ community, and chaired by Assistant Minister for Health and Aged Care the Hon Ged Kearney MP. Together with the LGBTIQA+ community they provide advice to Government and will co-design Australia's first National Action Plan, focused specifically on improving the health and wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ people.

The historic inaugural Kimberley Blak Pride festival presents an excellent opportunity to extend these consultations to the Kimberley region to learn about the challenges as well as local successes in supporting SBLGBTIQA+ wellbeing.

We are here to listen and learn in consultation with local community. Please join us for a yarn and enjoy a post-consultation sundowner.
