KIN: An Immersive Exhibition + Climate Community Program Launch
Event description
We are harnessing the momentum that already exists within us; that which allows us to dream differently, hope actively, and navigate determinedly towards a better future.
And to begin, we are opening up our community gates in the Inner West of Sydney. We hope to build a more resilient, empowered + connected community.
We acknowledge that this land area traditionally belonged to the Gadigal + Wangal peoples of the Eora nation, and their nonhuman kin, who have an intrinsic connection to the land and have cared for country for over 60,000 years before colonisation. These are lands of continuous Indigenous reclamation, and resurgence.
Our offering is a program full of actions, spaces, events + initiatives, where we seek to share ideas, support projects, foster relationships, and build a hyper-local support network for climate concerned peoples. We hope to amplify the movement through the spaces we create, the events we hold + the embodiment of our values.
To kick off this program, we are launching a collaborative art event + community zine - KIN.
KIN reminds us of our connection to each other + place, the ways these connections shape our context and understanding of our past, our present, and will shape our future.
