Welcome to Kindred Playground, a full day to dive into the nourishing practices of Authentic Relating, Embodied Intimacy and Blindfolded Connection.

As we reach the depths of summer, come and relax into a day of dancing, chilling and chatting. We will create a soft, casual space where you can discover each other both physically and emotionally.

WHY is this event unmissable?

This is a one-off collaboration between two renowned practitioners from Europe and Aotearoa/NZ, bringing together their unique practices in a beautiful location on the edge of the sea. Combining Authentic Relating practices with movement and play really expands and sweetens the potential to spark new connections and deepen old ones in a totally different, more joyful, and juicy way.

WHO is this event for?

If you're a curious, open, playful human being, and are seeking more opportunities to be yourself and connect with others in a joyful and playful way, this day is for you.

Our experience includes working with Highly Sensitive People (HSPs); neurodiverse people; people suffering from anxiety and depression; people going through major life shifts; and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

WHAT will we explore?

We will focus on the nourishing practices of Authentic Relating, Embodied Intimacy and Blindfolded Connection.

Authentic Relating is an interpersonal meditation. It is the practice of listening and speaking in deeper awareness of our present moment bodily sensations and curiosities, allowing us to weave richer, more truthful and loving human-to-human connections.

Embodied Intimacy is a practice of coming into deeper contact with your wants, needs and desires and creating a playful relationship between all these things and others in the room. It is an opportunity to really discover what your body is longing for and diving into that place.

Blindfolded Connection invites us into deeper awareness of our non-seeing physical sensations and internal reality, unblocking our inhibition so as to reveal our truest essence.

Some exercises will involve consensual touch to enrich your connection to each other.

WHERE will it be?

The event will take place at a stunning secret location in Cornwallis, West Auckland. The address will be sent out to ticket holders a few days before the event. The venue is only accessible by car.

Laurie King

I'm Laurie, and I am dedicated to enabling human-to-human relationships to arise, deepen and flourish. I have organised and facilitated over 200 Authentic Relating, Dating and Embodiment workshops in Oceania and Europe. My training includes the Authentic Life Course, the International School of Temple Arts, and the Connection Institute. My portfolio includes internationally acclaimed festivals such as Stretch, and organisations such as ART International.

Simon Magnus

I’m Simon, I have been running in person and online workshops for 20 years training people in improvisation and creative inspiration. Studies in somatic trauma has expanded my focus to offer intimacy and sexuality workshops and coaching across Europe that invite people to become more creative and playful. In working from a place of vulnerability and courage, I offer the opportunity for other’s to step into these places within themselves too.
