    Event description

Many Sydney-siders will remember Dan Tuffy as the bass-player of the much-loved WILD PUMPKINS AT MIDNIGHT who regularly raised the rooves of their Sydney shows before absconding to Europe in the 90’s. Dan has been living in the Netherlands ever since. His solo career began much later with his 2017 debut “SONGS FROM DAN” which was hailed as a “downright masterpiece”. His 2020 follow-up “LETTERS OF GOLD” generated yet more superlatives both here and abroad. Back in Sydney for the 1st time in over 5 years this is an exclusive one-off. Dan will be presenting material from his past releases as well as his new album “COUNTRY STAR”. With influences from the dustbowl to now, Dan Tuffy and his backing band Song Crew have a sultry groove-based sound that will “pulse you out of thinking into feeling”

Hailing from the Blue Mountains NSW, King Curly is the invention of local singer/songwriter Steve Appel – a long time enigma of original Australian music. Over 20 years with a changing mainly acoustic ensemble he has been capturing the hearts of music lovers and some of biggest names in the business while remaining virtually unknown to commercial airwaves.  King Curly has toured by invitation with
acts as diverse as K.D Lang, Paul Kelly and The Cat Empire throughout Australia, Europe and the US.  Appel is a true creative. His songs are beautiful and relevant to the times.
