Adrian Schrinner became the 17th Lord Mayor of Brisbane in 2019 and is working hard to build a better Brisbane.

City-shaping projects like the turn-up-and-go Brisbane Metro, Kangaroo Point Bridge, as well as the Moggill Road Corridor and Beams Road upgrades are helping keep Brisbane moving, while destinations like Howard Smith Wharves, the Archerfield Wetlands, Hanlon Park and Bradbury Park have made Brisbane's lifestyle even better.

Adrian is firmly focused on improving the areas where people live and his “suburbs first” guarantee is ensuring that at least 80 per cent of his Budget is invested in the suburbs.

Adrian and his wife Nina’s proudest achievements are their four young children who they are raising together in Carindale. As a father and Lord Mayor, he is determined to ensure Brisbane just keeps getting better.

Since taking office in April 2019, he has led the Brisbane City Council — the largest local government in the Southern Hemisphere — with a strong focus on sustainability, infrastructure, and delivering practical outcomes for everyday families.

Raised in Brisbane’s southeast, Adrian’s story is grounded in hard work, community values, and service. As the son of small business owners, he grew up helping in the family cleaning business and later earned his private pilot's licence while still in his teens. He also served as an officer cadet in the Royal Australian Air Force, training at the Australian Defence Force Academy.

Adrian entered public life in 2005 when he was elected Councillor for Chandler Ward. In 2011, he became Brisbane’s youngest-ever Deputy Mayor, where he oversaw major infrastructure projects such as the Legacy Way tunnel, the reconstruction of Riverwalk after the 2011 floods, and improvements to bikeways and public transport. As Lord Mayor, his signature achievements include leading the development of the Brisbane Metro — one of Australia’s largest transit infrastructure projects — and delivering multiple new green bridges to enhance the city’s liveability and reduce traffic congestion.

Passionate about the environment and long-term planning, Adrian launched the transformation of Victoria Park into one of the country’s largest new urban parklands. His “Suburbs First Guarantee” ensures that at least 80% of Council’s investment benefits communities outside the inner city, delivering roads, parks, and essential services where families live.

Adrian also serves as Chair of the Council of Mayors (SEQ), where he advocates for South East Queensland on issues like the 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, regional transport, and housing affordability.

A committed family man, Adrian lives in Carindale with his wife Nina and their four children. His leadership is shaped by strong values, a deep love for Brisbane, and a passion for serving people at every level of the community. Whether it’s responding to natural disasters, planning for long-term growth, or advocating for vulnerable residents, Adrian is a Mayor who leads with integrity, compassion, and a vision for a brighter, more connected city.

A presentation not to be missed.

We will then have plenty of opportunities to network with fellow Kingdom Entrepreneurs.
