Experience the joyful and transformative power of kirtan! This is a simple and engaging sound yoga practice incorporating mantra, music and meditation. Kirtan helps calm the mind and expand our heart energy and consciousness.

Kirtan can be practiced by anyone, regardless of whether you feel you can sing or not! No prior experience is necessary and all are welcome!!

Kirtan invites us to ‘sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think’ (Rumi). It helps to free ourselves from inhibitions and connect us with our innate flow of creative expression.

This is your personal connection to the divine and peace within you through your unique voice and heart, carried by the collective energy of the group and music.

The evening will conclude with a deeply soothing and integrating sound bath incorporating the celestial sound of the alchemy crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, hand pan and flute.

Geeti & Gyan are a Sydney-based kirtan and conscious music duo who bring a joyful presence to their innovative fusion of mantra, heart song, meditation, yoga and sound healing to celebrate the beauty of the heart.

Their original East-meets-West conscious music fuses contemporary and traditional kirtan and mantra with uplifting English lyrics, and features vocals, guitar, harmonium, sitar, cajon, manjira and flute.

Geeti & Gyan are both kirtanists, accredited sound healers and naada yoga teachers. Gyan is also an accredited hatha yoga and meditation teacher and singer-songwriter.

About Mark O'Brien:

Mark is a highly experienced yoga teacher and teacher trainer, and was manager of the successful yoga studio Qi Yoga in the Northern Beaches for 22 years. He is an accomplished kirtanist and has played a massive part in enriching the kirtan culture in Sydney. He brought outstanding kirtanists regularly to his Qi Yoga studios, including Sri Prahlada, Madhava, Edo & Jo, Lulu & Mischka and Kevin James.

About Radhika Priya Devi Dasi:

Radhika is a wonderful, highly experienced kirtanist and a student of the celebrated kirtan chant leader and teacher Sri Prahlada Das. A krishna devotee, she often leads kirtan at Bhakti House in Sydney.
