Knitwear Visible Repair Workshop
Event description
Learn visible knitwear repair skills alongside Anne who repairs at Repair Cafe Whangarei events as well as repairing knitwear all year for Intercept Fabric Rescue. This event is part of the Repair Network Aotearoa Repair Festival week
The workshop will cover:
Which repair materials to choose
Which mend to choose
Covering stains
Needle Felting for repair
Darning, including Swiss darning, Scottish darning
Felted wool and suede applique
Quick embroidery stitches
What to bring:
Knitwear to repair (some will be provided)
Some materials available, if you want something specific bring it along.
Own needles, scissors (there will also be some available)
Something to share for afternoon tea (optional)
