Know the eucalypts on your farm? Coonabarabran

Join Central West LLS and expert botanist Dan Clarke for a practical workshop exploring Threatened Ecological Communities (TECs) and eucalypt ID in our region.

Event details:

Combining theory with hands-on identification and field assessment, this workshop will help landholders recognise and better understand the native vegetation on their properties.

Whether you're interested in improving productivity, building resilience or enhancing biodiversity, the workshop will help build your knowledge and confidence to make informed decisions about managing native vegetation on your property.

This workshop will help you to:

• understand TECs, how they relate to Plant Community Types (PCTs), and how to recognise them in the landscape

• identify local eucalypts with Dan Clarke using key features such as bark, leaves, buds and fruit

• put your skills into practice by assessing real woodland examples, including the canopy, midstorey, native grasses and groundcover, and learning how these features inform TEC identification.
