Knowledge Wisdom and Courage: Exploring Ageism in today's Society

Ageism includes stereotyping, disrespecting, devaluing, diminishing, and discriminating on the basis of age.  While young people can feel the effects of ageism, ageism is most insidious and devaluing to those who are older. Other "ISMs", such as sexism and racism have received a lot attention over the last few years, however Ageism rarely gets mentioned or noticed. We would like to change that!  Come and join us in exploring what Ageism means to us and our society and ways to manage it in our everyday life. Afternoon tea will be provided and there is plenty of parking.
