Event description

Join us for an immersive workshop where you'll gain invaluable insights into caring for koala habitats from a seasoned local bush regenerator. Whether you steward eucalypt forests or simply wish to learn how to maintain their health, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Learn the technique of performing a SAT Survey (Spot Assessment Technique), a user-friendly method for assessing koala presence that anyone can master with a bit of guidance. Your contribution to this data collection can play a crucial role in monitoring koala presence across our landscape, guiding the allocation of vital conservation resources in our region.

The workshop will be help on a private property in Tintenbar, boasting healthy natural re-growth and diverse ex-plantation forests at varying stages of management. We will spend the afternoon in the field, applying our newfound SAT Survey skills and observing firsthand how different forests are nurtured and managed.

This event is a fully catered experience with morning tea and lunch provided. Spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your booking promptly to avoid missing out on this enriching opportunity! Register now to reserve your spot.

This project received grant funding from the Australian Government under the Saving Koalas Fund.
