Refund policy This policy explains when ticket holders and registered attendees of Kohinga Koha 2026 (the “Event”) are entitled to a refund, transfer, or partial refund. It applies to all tickets and paid registrations for the Event, however purchased.
1. If the entire Event is cancelled.
If Kohinga Koha 2026 is cancelled in its entirety and does not proceed on any date, all ticket holders and registered attendees will be entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.
2. If the Event is postponed.
If the Event is postponed to a new date, ticket holders and registered attendees will be offered the choice of either:
• transferring their existing ticket or registration to the new date at no extra cost, or
• receiving a full refund of the amount paid, if they are unable to attend on the new date.
3. If part of the programme is cancelled.
Where the Event itself proceeds but a significant, separately identifiable part of the paid programme (for example, a specific session, performance, workshop, or ticketed component) is cancelled, and no reasonable alternative is provided in its place, a proportionate refund will be offered reflecting the value of that cancelled part. Minor changes to the programme such as a change of speaker, running order, venue within the same site, or a like-for-like substitution do not entitle attendees to a refund under this clause, as they do not represent the cancellation of a significant, separately identifiable part of the paid programme.
4. How to request a refund.
To request a refund or transfer under this policy, contact the Kohinga Koha 2026 team at kiaora@kohinga.nz with your name, order or booking reference, and the reason for your request. Where an entire event cancellation or postponement triggers this policy, the organiser will where practicable contact ticket holders directly rather than requiring a request.
5. Processing timeframe
Eligible refunds will be processed within 15 working days of the refund request being confirmed, or of the cancellation or postponement being announced, whichever applies.
6. Refund method
Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed with the ticket holder. Any booking or transaction fees charged by a third-party ticketing platform at the time of purchase are non-refundable, except where required by law.
