Kohokai Kyudo Beginner Course

Kohokai Martial Arts club is a Not for Profit martial arts club looking to bring traditional Japanese martial arts to the area.

Our aim is to promote fitness, health and comradery through the study of martial arts.

We are an inclusive club and have been recognized as a Gold level Good Sports Club and our Instructors are all Blue Card Holders.

We are currently offering an 8-week introductory beginners’ course in Japan Archery Kyudo.

Classes will be conduct at 30 Japonica St, Inala QLD 4077

Our Place Hall Inala.

First class will commence at 1pm to 3.30 pm Sunday 16 February 2025.

We would really like to see you there so that we can keep the hall and build kyudo, Jodo and Iaido in the area.

This is an 8-week course which will cover many aspects of Kyudo. Shooting is the last part of the course where applicable and is at the total discretion of the instructor.

Initial training will take place using a gomiyumi a rubber training yumi to practice form.

Total cost for the course is $150.00 Please note This is “NON Refundable”

The reason for this is that the venue management requires that I book for the duration of course to secure the venue.

Once they lock in the venue and block the time there are financial penalties for cancelling and refunds to me are not possible.

We are currently preparing a stand-alone archery net support to allow us to shoot over 20 metres. this has been approved by the venue management with certain safety conditions.

Training in Iaido and Jodo can also be provided after 1430 on each Sunday, additional fees apply.
